The Indiana Fever have dealt with a lot of drama this season, both on and off the court.

And while Caitlin Clark’s inclusion on the team has been a big part of that, Clark’s teammate, NaLyssa Smith, has been at the center of it too.

Smith was embroiled in controversy last month, after rumors surfaced about her mother criticizing Fever head coach Christie Sides on social media.

But there’s proof behind the recent controversy around Smith.

A video of Smith and Connecticut Sun player DiJonai Carrington having discussions and embracing after the Fever vs. Sun game on Tuesday is making waves on social media.

And considering the multiple altercations that Carrington has had with Clark this season, fans aren’t happy to see Smith fraternizing with an opponent.

“Fuck Nalyssa like deadass,” one X user wrote with the video.

“Smith gotta go , she a opp,” said another, referring to Smith.

Other fans are stating that Smith and Carrington played at Baylor together, and have perhaps had past relationship history.

But regardless of that, Fever fans still don’t want to see their forward embracing an opposing player (who has constantly hated on Clark) seconds after Indiana was blown out by them.
