Ever since they drafted Caitlin Clark with the #1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Indiana Fever were resigning themselves to drama.

Not because Clark is dramatic. Rather, because all of the attention she brings with her means a lot of eyeballs on the team.

And a lot of eyeballs on the team means people will find things that seem awry — especially after the Fever started their season with a 1-10 record.

And eyeballs caught a video of Clark’s teammate NaLyssa Smith exchanging words and embraces with Sun guard DiJonai Carrington seconds after the Fever lost to them on Monday.

After multiple videos surfaced of interactions between them two on social media Wednesday, fans came at Smith for her lack of loyalty toward Clark and the Fever.

And it seems that Smith has seen the X posts and heard the criticism. Because she made an X post on Wednesday that appeared to address this ongoing drama.

“yall mad as shit,” Smith wrote, along with six laughing-crying emojis.

“If you don’t score 20 points tomorrow just know we requesting a trade,” one fan responded.

The Fever could use a big win tomorrow night — for more reasons than one.
