Jamahal Hill has not given up on a potential rematch against Alex Pereira. Instead, he is even more confident he will beat ‘Poaton’ this time.

Hill mentioned that he did not care about the UFC title and predicted total domination over the light heavyweight champion.

Jamahal Hill recently sat down for a conversation on InsideFighting with an upcoming fight just around the corner.

During the discussion, Hill talked about a potential rematch with Pereira after the UFC 300 loss.

I have every intention on fighting Alex again, I don’t care about the belt at this point. It’s about getting back to that fight so I can show what it really is… I feel that, running it back, I definitely dominate that fight.

Hill is a former champion who had to give up the title due to injury. Before UFC 300, Hill had predicted a knockout win against Pereira. However, he caught a left hook in the first round of the fight.

Hill dropped down and Pereira followed up with a brutal ground and pound before referee Herb Dean separated the two.

Hill is still a top contender in the division. Within a week, it was declared that Hill would take on Khalil Rountree Jr. They will fight under the Conor McGregor fight card at UFC 303.

How did Jamahal Hill lose his light-heavyweight title?

The UFC was forced to vacate the title and schedule a fight to determine the new champion. Pereira took advantage of this vacant title and defeated Jiri Prochazka by TKO at UFC 295 and became the new light heavyweight champion. Hill was his first title defense in the division.

Hill’s next opponent Khalil Rountree Jr. is not an easy opponent. He is known for his powerful striking and exciting fighting style. In his most recent fight against Anthony Smith.

He won via a viral TKO in the third round. However, Hill is unfazed and is determined to show him what the top of the division looks like.
